Boomer Sue

Miss Boomer Sue is a Treeing Walker Redtick Coonhound Mix that was rescued when she was 6 months old.  At 4 years old, her vet discovered she had an extremely low heart rate and abnormal heart beat. She was diagnosed with a complete AV block (basically a malfunction with the electrical system telling her heart how fast to pump) and needed a pacemaker or she would not survive. On May 5, 2017, the amazing doctors and staff at the University of Minnesota Veterinary Medical Center rescued her again and Miss Boomer Sue got a pacemaker! After a long recovery (during which she drove her family crazy with her serious case of zoomies when she was supposed to be resting) she is now living her best life. Boomer Sue’s favorite things are long walks anywhere, eating gross things she finds on long walks to anywhere, chasing her favorite feline, Special Agent Furronica Knox, sunbathing, sleeping through high school students toilet papering her yard, fishing and talking to anyone who will listen to her. She avoids fruits and vegetables, wearing collars (pacemaker side effect), neighborhood ice cream trucks playing Caribbean music, thunderstorms, going to the bathroom during inclement weather and the entire week of the Fourth of July.
