Rescue: Farm Friends RescueLocation: Pittsboro, NC
Every once in a while a very special dog comes into a rescue. Meet Wendy Mae, an approximately 35 pound mixed breed dog. She became part of Farm Friends Rescue when the Forsyth County Animal Shelter reached out to let them know that they had a beautiful pregnant mom that needed to be moved to a rescue. When she finally got to her foster home, it became very evident that she was scared and had limited trust in humankind (we can’t blame her!). Slowly her foster family earned her trust. The puppies were born and she was a terrific mom from the start!
Fast forward to today: Wendy has come such a very long way! She is super sweet and has adjusted to life with her foster family. She still gets spooked with loud noises and is learning to not be afraid of the leash. She loves to run and has the potential to be a great running partner once she tackles her fear of the leash! Above all else, she loves her people! If you have ever considered adopting a truly one of a kind girl, one that needs true rescuing as she continues her journey to be her true self, then this is the girl for you! Though Farm Friends Rescue is so proud of her and despite the fact that she will be greatly missed by her foster parents, it is time for her to have a family to call her own! She would love that family to be yours!
